Father's Day during residency

Ah... Father's Day. One day a year to celebrate the greatness of a Dad that is truely his title. Yum, Sunday morning apple smoked bacon and eggs any way you like, toast, fresh strawberries just brought in by the fruit man on the corner, black columbian coffee, a smoothie, pancakes topped with ice cream and everything else deliciously fattening- all made by the hands of our little one... (cough cough). The strawberries should have given it away. Everybody knows you do NOT buy fruit from the corner on Sundays unless you want a special kind of mold sauce to go with it. Um, what? Oh that's right. Father's Day will be celebrated with the other children- Scapel and Drill. Love the on call. Okay, no problem, we'll pseudo it and celebrate on Saturday, post call... and celebrate we did for all of 15 minutes. Because that's what happens when Daddy gets home at 11:30 am from being at the hospital since 6:30 am the day before and hasn't sat down since he rose from his slumber. Alright, a shorter breakfast, but still mouth watering delicous. Not going to lie- I can cook like its my job (and I guess you could say it kinda is...) and I don't even need to be humble about it. Pancakes infused with buttermilk and sour cream (hey, have you tried it?) and melted berry sauce...yum. I still have a bit of the berry sauce in the fridge if you want to try it. Then to bed he goes until GC's nap is over. Then, that's right, pizza it is for dinner. What a healthy way to end a healthy day. :) Happy Father's Day.
