It is never, NEVER okay, under any circumstances, to try to cut your own child's hair. Even if you just want to get that oooooone little piece that is hanging down his forehead. Because, inevitably, he will move right as you make that perfect snip, causing you to cut shorter than you anticipated. Then you have to even it out. Which of course goes shorter than anticipated, then you have to even that out, cycle repeats. And then your once adorable little boy looks like he visited the same butcher shop his father did right before Angie's wedding... and that is something we could all stand to forget.
