Ms. Sassy Pants

Gabriela insisted on taking life sized Dora with us to church on Sunday. Whatever, not a big deal. It's totally normal to carry a mini human with you... We took a taxi to church so walking there with the thing was not a big deal. On the way home, however, Gabriela decided that she did not want to ride in the stroller, that in fact Dora would. So, we buckled up Dora to be safe and set off for the ten block walk home with Gabriela pushing Dora ever so slowly down the road. She kept swerving in all her driving experience so Ben lightly put his hand on the handle to help guide her. She swatted his hand away. Everytime he tried to help her, she swatted him. Finally she stopped and looked at him, ordering, "Quit pushing me!" We both looked at each other, stunned. What did she just say? No, worries, she repeated herself, "Quit pushing me!" I thought that was hilarious. THEN, to top it off, a few minutes later, she stopped pushing the stroller to observe some very interesting dogs. Ben encouraged, "Come on Gabi, let's go please!" and she turned around and with her whole arm shaking her pointy finger at him yelled, "JUST A MINUTE!!!" ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Oh, how I can't wait for the teenage years!!!

And, by the way, if you walk down the street with life sized Dora, its almost as if you are famous yourself! Every parent and kid we past by, which was a LOT, yelled DORA!!!!
